  • Good news for Aston Business School as MSc International Business is ranked 7th in the UK and 33rd in the world by The Economist’s Masters in Management rankings
Aston University is one of the best places in the world to study for a masters degree in management, according to new rankings by The Economist.

The prestigious WhichMBA? Masters in Management (MiM) 2017 rankings deemed the MSc International Business at Aston Business School as 7th in the UK and 33rd in the world. Only 10 UK institutions made the list.

The course has received plaudits in other coveted rankings recently. Last month the Eduniversal Masters Ranking placed it 3rd in the UK and 24th in Europe, meanwhile the Financial Times also considered it one of the world’s best options for prospective students.

The rankings judge courses on a wide range of factors, such as career opportunities, personal development, post-graduation salary and the potential to network.

The programme focuses on the links between major business functions and their role in international business and commerce, giving students specialist knowledge in conducting business activities internationally. As part of the course, students visit a partner school in Europe for a one-week residential. Graduates have gone on to work at Ernst & Young, Bosch and Deutsche Bank.

Professor George Feiger, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean of Aston Business School, said: “We are very pleased. It validates our approach of designing the MSc International Business in close partnership with enterprises in the UK and internationally. We believe that for this reason it gives our students an ideal platform on which to build a future career in the global marketplace. Our students will testify to the commercial and entrepreneurial atmosphere that influences all that we do here.”
